Can't We Enjoy 'Things'?

"God has a lot to say about 'things.' Does avoiding worldliness mean we can never have or enjoy things? That may depend on where 'things' fit in with our priorities.
"Jesus said, 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33)."
---Rev. Cooper Beaty in What is Worldliness?

Rev. Beaty was born of Quaker parents on a farm in Kansas and was converted to Christ at age 18. He taught school three years after obtaining a Teacher's Certificate from Kansas State Teachers College and, at the age of twenty-two, responded to the call to the ministry. His first efforts consisted of jail meetings, street preaching, and tent meetings. He then spent twenty-nine years in pastoral ministry and traveled as an evangelist for seven years. Rev. Beaty graduated in the 1975 Charter Class of Rhema Bible Training Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and has spent the last nineteen years as a full-time instructor at Rhema.

In his book, What is Worldliness?, Rev. Beaty defines worldliness from the Bible, explores its serious consequences, and teaches us how to overcome it in our lives.

What is Worldliness? is available from Rev. Beaty's Light for Living Ministries for just $2.75 plus shipping and handling. Please click here for an order form to print out and mail with your payment.

A Study Guide Workbook is available for churches to use with the book for a series of studies. The Workbook price is $2.50 each. (Shipping & Handling may be figured using the chart on the book order form.)
